1st Visual Inspection dive in the GOM

Here's my friend first inspection dive in the Gulf of Mexico. He's mainly a construction diver/tender so the dive supervisor explained many parts of the platform inspection to him. Above is the plateform that was inspected, everything changes though once you go below the water...The videos are a good reference for visual inspection dives in the GOM. It's a night dive so the water is black, and yes he's from Australia.

Here he's traveling to the platform via the downline, it's the last dive of the inspection so he's also cutting the downline away from the platform.

The diver is walking to a node in the members, supervisor discribes to the diver what he is seeing.

This is the visual inspection of a zinc anode on the platform, the supervisor explains it all.

After a 40 foot inspection the diver leaves bottom, to the boat deck.....
