adc (american diving contractors)- group of diving contractors in the GOM that regulate diving down here
bail out- bottle of air worn by diver if air from surfaces fails to make its way down
chamber/pot- see hyperbaric chamber
deco stop- decompression stop in water, usually at 10 or 30 depending on depth or time
dive school- waste of money
GOM- Gulf of Mexico
hammer wrench- wrench with large end that can be help or striked to turn botls
hat- diving helmet, not the baseball type.
hyperbaric chamber- used to help diver decompress on surface, this alows the diver to be safe on the surface instead of staying in the water for decompression
Marlin Spike/Drift Pin-large metal spike, used to make leverage or line up peices to be bolted together
NDT- nondestructive testing, this is used to test structual integerty of metals and welds
red hat-a new guy aka fng (fucking new guy)
Spud Wrench-wrench with the handle cut off and marline spike welded to it
umbilicle- group of hoses that provide air, communications, and hot water from surface
